We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it has always been great from food to service to building. Wonderful, it is like going to family home and they always go the extra mile to make your visit great. They have got every thing just right Please keep it that way Brilliant

ReportBoasting a historic setting and some of the best food you'll find in Ely, it's a pleasure to eat at the Old Fire Engine House. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for the staff, either. On a recent visit, one of our party was a vegetarian and she arranged her meal with the restaurant prior to visiting. If you like Country Fayre, you will not be disappointed, and it's average pricing as well for this type of meal too. They also hold art exhibitions which the public can view during the day.
This is a fab building housing a fab restaurant. Full of local goodies and keeping things in season-ish, the place is a really special addition to the eateries in the area. Costing slightly more than most of the other options, it makes up for it in the quality of the food and the service (plus they even offer you seconds!) Great place for something a little special without being stuck up. My only criticism is that the acoustics aren't great so when it gets busy the sound can really travel.
